Can this hold a heavy vise without shaking?
Yes. The steel tube and plate are thick, and once the insert is pinned in place it stays stable. It is suitable for full-size bench vises and grinders when mounted correctly.
Does it come with all the hardware?
It includes the insert tube, bench-mount bracket, and a complete set of eight bolts with nuts, flat washers, and lock washers for setup.
Will my vise line up with the holes?
The plate uses slotted holes, so most vises, grinders, and notchers fit without drilling. For unusual bolt patterns, you can drill your own holes in the steel plate.
Can it be used on a workbench too, or is it just for trucks?
It works both ways. The bench bracket bolts to your table, and the main tube slides into it the same way it slides into a 2-inch truck hitch.
How stable is it on a truck hitch? Does it wiggle?
The insert bar has holes on all four sides, so you can lock it tightly from different directions. When used with a proper 2-inch receiver and pin, it is solid for filing, cutting, and general tool work.
